The selective picking process involves a great deal of attention and is often the most used method. Experienced farmers choose the perfectly mature cherries and leave the rest to mature. The cherry is washed and dried naturally in the sun before separating the fruit from the bean. It then goes to a roasting process.
The Roasting Process
The roasting process is what gives the bean the flavor that millions enjoy every morning. There’s 3 main different types of roasts. Light, Medium, and Dark. It’s the roasting process that differentiates an exceptional cup of coffee from a good cup of coffee. Mudhouse is a local coffee shop in Springfield MO where our coffee is roasted. It’s roasted at a 28-pound limit to achieve the perfect color for the perfect flavor. It takes years of training to be an expert roaster and Mudhouse has over 2 decades of experience. It’s an art that has been mastered and the craft is now being offered at Weekenders.
